The girls just twitted come updates about their new album, here's the scoop :)

There are a lot of unanswered questions about what our single is going to be and the names of the tracks on our record.We have never been in a rush for this record. We ended up writing 50 songs for this one album. We have now narrowed it down to our favs.There's not one song on this record we don't believe in. We can't wait to play every single one live. It kills Into The Rush & Insomniatic..The single has not been decided on because there are so many choices! This record will drop in the fall. We need ur help to rally the fansAs well as people who aren't aware of our music. It's really important to buy the album the first week of sales. Here are some song titles Say Hello, Damaged (Which we co-wrote with Nancy Wilson of Heart) Civilian, and Next Worst Thing (Co-written with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer) Brace yourselves, more to come. TOUR RUMORS...| 04.27.2009

Hey guys...hope you're all doing well! We wanted to get on here real quick to address some of the tour rumors. Apparently there's some talk online that we'll be touring this summer even though Aly said we'd be on the road in the Tigerbeat interview. But...we don't have any plans to tour yet since we're focusing on finishing the record. So no, we won't be on the road this summer or anytime soon. BTW...the album is sounding really amazing so far and is definitely a bit heavier than Insomniatic. Don't worry...not crazy heavy but it's got lots of guitars and definitely a more rockin feel. We think you'll really dig it and can't wait to share the final version with you. We're working on mixing it right now so hopefully that will get to happen soon! Lots of love xoxo

Well, tommy2.net updated with new info on aly & aj's new album. Here's what they said.

T2 Exclusive: Over the last couple months Aly & AJ have been busy at work on their fourth studio album. Almost two years ago they surprised us with Insominiatic that was a radical departure from the musical direction of their debut album. It paid off with the lead single Potential Breakup Song being listed as one of The 10 Best Songs of 2007 by TIME magazine. This summer we’ll get a chance to see what the duo has been up to with the release of their new single around June and an album in the following months.

Hey guys! A lot of you have been wondering why I wasn't at the Twilight premiere with Aly. Just got back from Vail, CO. I was visiting my boyfriend Bennett there. He had a Hockey tournament. Stoked I was finally able to see him play. His team was super cool and so funny. All these dudes are major studs. Couldn't imagine doing what they do. Shout out to all the guys on the team! Tigers rock :) It was freezing there and the snow was beautiful. I actually felt like I had a real winter. Hope you guys the dig the pics I posted. Looking forward to going back to Colorado soon.
